Tap at brewpub. Pours clear amber with a medium, off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is biscuit and toast malt, dates, and spicy earthy hops. Flavor is malty with low bitterness and hops, earthy notes, a clean lager character and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Koelschtrinker (7037) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 2, 2011
Malzmuffiger Geruch. Nett! Danke an Grima! 7/8/7/8/8/8

330 ml bottle in Germany. Pours a cloudy brown with a very fast to go light brown head. Aroma is malt and whiskey. Taste is peat moss and some malt and smoke. Palate ends with some unpleasant bitterness but a good beer over all.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Grima (1572) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2010
500ml swing-top bottle, directly from the brewery!
Into the glass pours a rich brown, cloudy beer. The foam disappears very quickly. Smells pleasant malty, slightly sweet. Sarts very malty, almost like the famous Caro-coffee. The aftertaste shows the Béierhaascht-typical acidity, slightly more than in the Ambrée, but not as pronounced as in the Helles!

33cl, Luxembourgian brew, thx to Jerre!, not complex slightly sour brew, yet refreshing, not balanced, hazy, nearly no head, nothing special

A hint of red apple peel on the aroma. Amber color with a thin white head, tastes the same as their other beers; like caramalt water.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 McWorta (71) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 20, 2010
Had this at the brewery. tasted it during the discussion with the master brewer. And it made me say "hey hey hey, nice!" - a good first impression.
Has lightly toast/roast malt hints, some floral hops and some watery basement aromas. Orange/brown in colour, rather hazy with a wee tan head. Bitter and a bit sour. A light roasted body with some light soft carbonation. The finish was rather short, unfortunately. Though overall a beer which has potential to become a good dark beer from Luxembourg - about time!
