2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, - MAR 17, 2004
Very carbonated at the onset, to white head, falling flat in less than a minute; pale amber beer with cold (?) haze. Very meaty nose, as aspic from a pastry or brawn. Spicey too - I get laurel/bay leaf again and even some hops. Faint malty taste, like a boy's bitter or a pale mild. But always with the bottom-fermenting touch. Very light mouthfeel, weak, nearly dead. Aftertaste brings up some hoppy bitterness. Not a great success, I'd say. Their blonde/Helle is much better.
1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 dnstone (1837) - Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Light fruity (apple) and roasty nose. Amber color, then flim of white head. Tastes pretty much the same as the last with slightly more pronounced roast malt flavor - malty water.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2004
Cloudy orange body with a small head. Aroma is somewhat sour and mouldy and is dominated by stearin! Flavor is thin and watery with some fruit and citrus. Flat and bad.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Hildigöltur (5107) - København, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2004
Amber coloured. It smells of stearin like all beers from this brewery. Slightly thin, but drinkable.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 Ungstrup (23918) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 3, 2004
An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is sour and hoppy - not very inviting. The flavor is malty with notes of oranges and a dry hoppy end.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - APR 27, 2004
Cloudy copper color. Fizzy, sweet, wax aroma. Medium body, some sweetness, poor malt, too high hop infusion, therefore bad high ending bitterness.
