Appearance: Black color with a tan layer.
Aroma: Dark malt and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Dark malt, vinous and fruity. Not to well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: A bit to sweet.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with armando629.

(330 bottle from Csak a Jó Sör, Budapest)
Opaque and dark with a top-of-your-coffee head.
Aroma is dark bread, raisins, and dark cherries. Maybe a hint of liquorice.
Plums in the mouth and a few of the raisins. Warming alcohol.
Not as full a mouth feel as it could have.
Slightly drying burnt finish. A tad hot, to be honest. Dark fruits. Crank back the alcohol a bit, add a bit more body, and this would be great. It has enough positives to merit a 3.3- anyway, I think.
Unusually, Phil did not share this.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with 0,5 finger head, which vanishes quite quickly. Aroma has bready maltness, but also a lot of alcoholy berries and a little bit of chocolate. Taste has alcoholy berries, rye-like breadiness, chocolate, but the liqueur-like alcoholiness is very dominant. Palate is very carbonated, sweet, alcoholic and quite warm. All in all, strange and alcoholic doppelbock, with berriness, but this tastes a little like berry liqueur with maltiness and hops. I’m still not too convinced about hungarian beers.

thought this was a stout but the aroma made me check the style, light sweet malts on the nose. appearance is black with no real head. Taste is light sweetness light bitterness light alcohol. Compared to the strength of the taste alcohol presence is too obvious. dry lagerish finish, medium body.

nice red-black color with fastly disapearing head, caramel-malty aromas with chocolate, liquor and some vanilla, low-medium CO2, the mouthfeel lasts for a short time, the caramel sticky feel stays.

Uhlen (251) - Trondheim, NORWAY - APR 27, 2013
Deep dark red pour, almost no head. Aroma of dark dried fruit, raisin, prunes, caramel, basement aromas and sherry. Taste is intense and sweet, but the lenght and mouthfeel disappoints. Heavy on the sweet side. I’m getting some licorice, raisin, bubblegum and malts.
