3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yespr (22162) - Copenhagen O, - DEC 13, 2009
From tap at Taverne Manneken Pis. Pours pale yellow with a small white head, leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is crisp grassy. Light citrusy and crisp hoppy flavoured, thin to no malt presence. Thirstquencer. Dry and crisp hoppy finish.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 pivnizub (7228) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 23, 2012
Bouteille: Pale greenish-golden, a bit unclear, small foamy layer, grainy papery nose with a hardly detectable hoppy touch; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; short and moderate grainy bitter finish. Not really bad, but another proof for the fact, that Belgians can’t brew excellent Lagers…
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2012
Aug 2008: Brown 25cl bottle drank 17 days before its best before date. Poured into a Veltins Pilsner glass and compared to a Maes Pils (Alken-Maes) poured into a simular glass.
Dull golden colour with bits floating in, not used to lagers/pilsners with floaters! The huge white head retained its size and depth very well, it’s the flotsum I was worried about.
This pilsner had an aroma, some hops and yeast smells could be detected, makes a change. Normally I struggle to pick up anything in a lager/pilsner.
This pilsner had a presence, not sure what of, but it was a lot better than its fellow Belgian Maes Pils.
Depth and strength of body was impressive compared to other European lager/pilsner beers. I could drink this if proper beer wasn’t available!
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mile (1447) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 26, 2012
Bottle. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light grassy hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light grassy hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, some grassy hoppyness, light alcohol. Lightly sweetish pils - OK hoppyness considering the body.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - FEB 6, 2012
(bottle, 25cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and dense foamy head. Slightly doughy malty aroma with notes of herbal hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Soft pale malty taste with present herbal and grassy hops, dry and bitter hoppy and slightly raw finish. Tastes as if it came from the north of Germany. 05.II.12
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 tlind2 (839) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2012

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Idiosynkrasie (512) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2012
250ml bottle. Clear yellow with average white head. Salient bitter hop aroma, almost peppery and spicy. Fizzy carbonation hampers a real tasting, could be lemonade or sparkling water as well. Some dry and soapy hop is the only other impression.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Finn (2610) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 1, 2011
Fra fat på Poatersgat i Brugge 3 Mai 11. Lys gylden. OK kremaktig skum. God fruktig aroma. Arrundet smak. Litt parfymert. Svakt fruktig. Litt tørr bitter ettersmak. En god pils.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 drpimento (1746) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Poured with a large, foamy, frothy, sudsy, white head and lots of lace. After the head settled a bit the remnants were kind of scummy. Color is a clear, yellow gold with plenty of bubble trails. Aroma is beery, bitter, grain. Flavor is similar to nose with bitterness predominating, followed by a little malt, I think some multiple sweet characteristics, and a bit of tang. Body is good, and carbonation is on the soft side. Finish is like flavor and of average length. Middle of the road pils.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 sebletitje (4391) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 20, 2011
Draft @ Le Tavernier, Ixelles.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Sylvainestbon (37) - FRANCE - AUG 26, 2011
golden, clear, white foam, light body, average carbonation,
Pression. The taste which stay in palate at the end is pleasant. It’s a good end’s pils.
