This is brewed with a variety of specialty hops that are hard to find with today’s shortages, including the evasive Simcoe. This beer is clean, brisk and lighter than some with just the right amount of residual hops. The rye adds a spicyness to its malt flavor. Awesome!

Nce rye woody nose. But a little off. Caine phenolics. Flavor is way better, good bitterness. Overall a decent brew with good lacing and nice carbonation.

Pours a clean light orange color with a pine aroma. Taste is citrus, mixed with light hops, leaving a light bitterness in the aftertaste. A minor rye flavor. This beer is clean and crisp, with a light IPA flavor and complexity.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice crystal clear deep gold body that supports a full tan head of foam. The modest aroma is smooth with citrus and spicy hops that have a sweet onion sensation. The taste is also smooth and rich and delivers pleasing citrus hops like tangelo and a little bit of grapefruit as well as a nice spicy resiny onion hoppiness that’s mixing quite well with other notes and the smooth body. Yummy IPA that has a pretty high degree of drinkability.

22 oz. bomber from Perry’s. It pours a rich golden orange color with a lasting off white head. The aroma has some potent candied hops with pine, peach and florals with a good amount of dry, malty rye. The flavor is super hoppy with more pine, sweet peach, spice and some florals near the finish. The body is pretty thick and oily from what seems like a huge rye addition, but doesn’t taste too sweet. The bitterness is strong and has an interesting character combined with the dry graininess. Overall, a very nice intense Rye IPA.

Tasting sessions with my friend Frank. Thanks!
