Our Dammed Double IPA has more hops than logs in a dam! Yet, you would never know it. This beer carries all of the spicy and earthy complexity that hops offers without the harsh bitterness. With a clean finish, this beer is proof that God loves you, and He wants you to be happy.

Poured into a pint glass. 3.75 A: Moderately hazed amber orange color. Three fingers of pillowy beige head. Retention is about average and lots of lacing is left. 3.75 S: Big citrusy component in this - tons of mango, orange, papaya. Rich caramel and toffee maltiness. Grapefruit and some pine. 3.5 T: Like the nose, big citrus with a strong malt backbone. Fruit trio mentioned above, caramel and toffee. Unfortunately this has some cooked vegetables in there, which their IPA also had. 3.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Slightly creamy and smooth enough. 3.25 D: It tastes pretty good overall, but I have to dock it some points due to the off flavors. ★ 692 characters DavoleBomb, Jun 14, 2015

Sweet malts, caramel, apple and tangerine with a bit of pine tar. Deep Amber color with a slight haze.Citrus peel hops up front fading to a sweet follow with floral hops and a warm alcohol finish, a bit too much of a burn at the end. Nice feel, light carbonation, creamy.

22 oz bottle. (Food Pantry) Honolulu, HI.
Murky red brown color with a small light tan head. Citrus, fresh grapefruit, more fruits and mild hoppy bitterness in a fresh and quite unusual DIPA aroma. The flavor is more traditional for a DIPA... dark hops, grapefruit, strong bitterness, citrus and resin. Bitterness stays. Yes... I would say yes.

The beer pours an amber color with a medium head. Aroma of pine, grapes and some malts. Taste has some malt up front with some bread and caramel. Hops come through on the finish. Pretty good beer.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2015 Enticing tropical citrus aroma in a copper pour. Nice hop forward taste is not quite able to balance the sweetness of the malts of the body. Not close to the Clown Shoes Space Cake brew enjoyed at the same time - and bettered by the local (NZ) Liberty Citra and Tuatara Double Trouble (from memory).

Bomber from ABC Stores in Waikiki. Dirty copper with minimal head. Bright orange hop aroma with resin behind it. Flavour is well-balanced with a super fresh orange hit that lingers, almost like a chocolate orange liqueur, but not cloying.

22 oz bottle shared by a friend. Mostly clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, slight booze, light pine and floral. Tastes of citrus, caramel, malt, booze, floral. Medium body with a dry and warm finish. Malty mouthfeel. Alcohol is not too well masked.

Bottle from Sprout’s: Created a thick development of foam head that was similar to shaving cream foam. Liquid appeared a hazy golden wild honey colored hue. Aroma is bold with a fragrant blend of fruity hops that suggest sweet peach, apricot, pear scents then finishes with notes of earthy pine and citrus hops with a heavy malt bread backing. Can’t remember the last time I smelt a beer this good since Stone Arrogant Bastard or an Ale Smith recipe--which is a compliment all around. The drink is well-balanced but I predict that it has had a few months shelf life and has the syrupy base of bready malts has softened the bitter hop bite that I assume this Impy IPA intended to have. Moderately sweet with a very sticky residue around the lips. Must have tasted amazing when fresh. Will have to re-visit the Damned Belching Beaver.

On tap at Surfside Tap Room in Oceanside. Bad, cloudy yeasty mess. Rubber band with some hops. Phenolic bitter and just kinda yuk. May be lines badly cleaned...will try at brewery for better example.

Pretty good IPA, your typical cascade like grassy aroma, nicely carbonated, hop flavor good. Not great but not meh.
