COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after California’s Highway 78, this India Pale Ale was brewed in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the city of Vista. With plenty of Galaxy, Falconer’s Flight, Southern Cross and just a tad bit of Nelson hops, our latest IPA is truly sessionable. Aroma’s include grapefruit, passionfruit, and citrus.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a two finger white head which fades to nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus (grapefruit and orange), tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, and passion fruit), light dankness, white grapes, sweet malts, and some dry caramel malt. Taste is citrus (grapefruit and orange), tropical fruits (passion fruit and pineapple), white grapes, sweet malts, and some light caramel. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi-moderately bitter, semi dry, medium-long, refreshing finish. Overall, a tasty, refreshing, and drinkable IPA which in pretty impressive considering the over 7 % abv.

Dank hops and a whole lotta citrus. Orange, grapefruit, pineapple. A classic West Coast (San Diego) style IPA to me. Less pine and more citrus than some of its brethren.

On tap @ Blue Palms. Slightly hazed pale golden pour with a white head. Nose has some fruity pebbles and pineapple, as well as orange and a hint of grapefruit. Somewhat grassy on the finish. Bitter pine and grapefruit peel on the palate. Lots of fruity pebbles and pineapple juice. A little bit astringent and grassy as it warms.

Bottle; poured a dark gold to amber color. Aroma of grapefruit, BO, earth and pine. Flavor was less pungent, but probably better. Hops linger. Grapefruit and funk. Easy to drink

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark copper with a thick beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a dry caramel malt flavor with a nice hop profile.

Nice reddish gold color. Citrus hop aroma. It has a really hoppy flavor but I don't get much else. A pretty typical Cali hop heavy beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[ Tap ][ Belching Beaver ][ 5oz ][ Flute ][ $1-2 ][ 1/25/14 ]
>> Clear golden pour. Oxidized apple nose. Juicy, fresh, pithy mango, tropical taste. Mild paper finish. Starts strong and but doesn’t quite deliver.
