COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after California’s Highway 78, this India Pale Ale was brewed in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the city of Vista. With plenty of Galaxy, Falconer’s Flight, Southern Cross and just a tad bit of Nelson hops, our latest IPA is truly sessionable. Aroma’s include grapefruit, passionfruit, and citrus.

Dank hops and a whole lotta citrus. Orange, grapefruit, pineapple. A classic West Coast (San Diego) style IPA to me. Less pine and more citrus than some of its brethren.

In the ultra competitive IPA market in San Diego this one does not really stand out against the better ones. But its not bad by any standard.

22 oz bottle. Tasted on 2/17/15. Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Great west coast hop aroma from the start citrus, pine & very floral. Taste was very good & finished clean & dry. Liked this one a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2/9/2015. From bottle. Hazy amber color. Caramel, floral hops, light spices, tropical fruit. Not over the top bitter, but with a good malt and hop balance. Dry, bitter finish.

From a bottle. Pours opaque amber with a thick, bubbly off white head and decent lacing. Tastes like caramel, grapefruit hops, booze, nutty. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like caramel, nutty, boozy, grapefruit, and citrus hops, resin.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange/amber with frothy off-white head. Aroma is tangerine, orange peel, floral notes, light grassy spice, and bready malts. Flavor is rich grassy and floral hop bitterness, some citrus esters, faint sweetness, and lightly toasted malts. Medium body and carbonation.

Keg at the North Park taproom, 15/11/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy hops, grapefruit, pine, citric peel, melon. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine, soft bread, melon, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough IPA.

Rather strong, and actually dominating hoppy taste. Noticed some citrus but not enough to make this beer dynamic enough.

Très juteux, tropical, mangue et fruit de la passion spécialement avec corpulence parfaite pour une buvabilité hypertrophiée. La faiblesse de l’amertume fait vraiment exploser son coté juteux, très solide.

22oz bomber pours with a hop hazed deep gold body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up mango, smooth malt sweetened tangelo and clementine. The taste starts with soft malt sweetened mango and clementine and a bit of tangerine. It rolls slowly into more and more citrus hop bitterness that reaches only a modest level. Pretty nice but this bottle might be a bit on the old side.

Pours a vibrant yellow color with a cittus and hops aroma. Lots of citrus and grapefruit flavor. A good minor bitter typical IPA flavor. The bitterness disappears quickly leaving a clean water film on the palate.
