Bottled 05.09.16. Poured 07.18.16. A: It smells like a butterfinger. A: Black body with lots of red in the glass. Super fizzy head that recedes to not a trace of foam. T: Grape, plastic, and an artificial nuttiness. P: Very fizzy and astringent. O: The aroma was promising, but the taste is odd and all over the place. Despite the label describing natural flavors, it tastes artificial. Drain pour.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2016 Dark brown. Very typical peanut butter aroma, while the taste is more classical and more appealing to me. It’s not like it’s not well done, but not my personal preference. Like that it comes on cans. (33cl can from Saveur Bière)

Bottle. Very dark brown, light tan head is soon less than a coat. 3- Aroma of nutty chocolate. Mostly convincing nuts, some vanilla flavoured caramel syrup. Smooth texture, moderate to low carbonation. Sweet and just a lot less flavorsome than suggested by the aroma. The nuts (roasted, skin on) are there as is the fake vanilla syrup, but it’s all very subdued until some cleaning-up bitterness comes along. Maybe a little metallic there at the end too. It’s a novelty beer that I don’t like but it’s done OK. So it seems a little harsh to go below 10 overall, but its current RateBeer score would put it in the extant German top 50.

Svart öl med ett lättare beige skum. Doft av jordnötter, rostade nötter och choklad. I smaken tillkommer mjölksocker och lättare kaffetoner. Blir lite för söt för min smak.

Very nice. Big nose. Vanilla. Chocolate and a bit of peanut butter. A bit too sweet though.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 12fl oz. can, served in snifter glass. Poured black with a three finger tan head that dissipated quickly. Aromas of peanutbutter, chocolate milk, vanilla. Taste: peanut butter, chocolate milk, lactose, caramel, vanilla, salty licorice, fudge, roasted pecan nuts, snickers. Taste is actually a bit disappointing after the great smelling aroma but it’s still very tasty. Low carbonation. Medium body with a very sweet peanutty finish. Good brew, especially if you like them sweet like I do.

Taps warm sable with a buff head. Peanut butter dominates the aroma but shares the olfactory stage with roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor features coffee and Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup notes riding roasted malt and a hint of toffee. Mouthfeel offers good fizz and body. Reece’s Peanut Butter Beer!
