Pitch black. Coffee head. Smells like peanut brittle and walnuts and cashews and caramel. Taste starts great with a ton of peanut butter and sweetness. Then that fades fast and you’re left with a creamy dry English stout with a lot of protein powder and shoe polish. Not a great beer overall. Smells awesome

Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Nearly full-out black body with a khaki & slightly gray tinted layer of foam on top that leaves some nice, wet sheets of lacing on the glass as it trickles down. Aroma hits hard with sweet, creamy lactose & baker’s chocolate, underpinned by a solid foundation of toasted peanuts, lightly sweet nut butter, & moderately roasted, dark malts. Definitely getting a nice peanut butter cup vibe from this one. Taste has a more bitter & roasty approach to the cocoa aspect, but still maintains a nice milky sweetness; lactose, creamy peanut butter, roasted malts, dry nuttiness. Pretty creamy mouth feel makes the flavors stand out even more, too. Overall, a great peanut butter beer that isn’t as sweet as many others out there, but still delivers exceedingly well.

Bottle from roylefkowitz, thanks! Pours deep black with a large brown creamy head that dissipates slowly with great lacing. Aroma is peanut butter, cocoa, vanilla, lactic sugars; kind of like a reeses milkshake perhaps. Flavor follows. Pretty sweet and just a light bitterness. Lots of PB, vanilla and chocolate going on. Gets cloying and old after a while, but at the beginning at least it is a pretty interesting beverage. A bit of lingering bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel.

It pours a pitch black with a 1" head of tannish foam. Tilting my glass and voila. Lots of nice lacing.
The smell is unmistakenly that of peanut butter! Imagine that. There’s a bit of a chocolate aroma coming through as well. Hmm...the smell sure lives up to what I hoped for slash expected.
Holy crap! The taste is even better than the smell. Yep, plenty of peanut butter, wonderful notes of or more like cocoa nibs, AND coffee. But there seems to be a mild fruity thang going on way back in the way background. I sense it infrequently but I’m pretty sure it is there.
Silky smooth mouthfeel, I kind of feel overwhelmed with how this is so much better than I had hoped for.
If I ever have another brew calling itself a Peanut Butter beer that doesn’t involve doughnuts and bananas, it has a BIG chore ahead of it to come close to what this here brew has accomplished.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep rich brown color, almost a coco brown. Aroma is of peanut butter and roasted malt. Tatse is of creamy peanut butter mixed with burnt malt. I was unable to taste the sweetness to this beer, the peanut butter overwhelmed all other flavors. Creamy peanut butter and milk distinctly tasted throughout this beer.

Sweet for a stout but by no means a sweet beer. Very Strong notes of peanut butter in the aroma but the peanut is more subtle in taste

Bottle. Aroma is peanut butter, toffee, rich milk chocolate. Full creamy body, sweet taste a little dry on the palate. Taste is dark chocolate with light peanut butter aftertaste. The perfect breakfast beer. Today I paired this with french toast. So freaking good.

Pours a nice jet black color with a tan creamy head. It has the aroma of peanut butter, oats, with minor notes of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is a nice blend of peanut butter, chocolate, sweet malt, and coffee. Goes down silky smooth with a bitter coffee aftertaste. Overall a great beer. A must for all malt heads and stout fans.
