Great aroma of peanut butter. Very smooth. Great stout qualities with the PB flavor.

Had a half pint of the stuff at Phil’s BBQ and loved it. Lots of flavor and dark appeal.

Draft. Smells like bread pudding with a thin creme colored head that lingers at the edges. Ours black with little carbonation and light mouthfeel for the style. Some sweetness with a peanut butter flavor.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Deep brown with a dense head the color of glazed donuts. The aroma delivers on the beer’s promise of peanut butter, but there are also underlying notes of lactose, crumbly chocolate and subtle coffee bean. The flavor mirrors the nose, though there’s more tangy milk sugar here and the chocolate isote bittersweet. Peanut flavor is fairly subtle and well-integrated, though just a bit artificial. Watery medium-light body; mild carbonation. Vary good, as peanut butter beers go -- more drinkable when cold and the synthetic quality of the added flavor is less pronounced.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black in colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma has a little chocolate, peanut butter, and roasted malts; reminds me kind of smores. Taste is dry and moderately sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Quite creamy on the palate, full bodied, and softly carbonated (nitro tap). Overall a unique and awesome beer.

Black pour. Aromas of hazelnut, reeses pieces, toast, nutragious chocolate bar and sweet wood. Super candied aroma. Can an aroma be cloying? Well this is close. Mouthfeel is light but flavours are pretty big. Aftertaste is short. Nice to have tried it.

Massive aroma of peanut butter spread over toast. Similar flavor with peanut butter with a deep roast on the back side. Delicious.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared bomber poured to snifters, displaying a black/brown hue, with a presentable layer of brownish tan, head foam, and thick dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was totally dessert-like, nuts, cocoa, and sweetness that you’d want to pour over vanilla ice cream! Medium bodied, with fair carbonation, and a touch of creaminess to the mouthfeel, the flavor notes were a bit less expressive than the aroma’s, adding a modest, roasted bitterness, and a little dryness for the finish. Very nice!

Bottle, Boise imperial stout tasting. Brown color with a thin beige cap. Nose is sweet, roast and chocolate. The taste is what makes it great; just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup. Well executed. Super glad I got to try this.

The smell is quite roasted and not as sweet as you would think a peanutbutter stout would be. A very nice creamy stout with a hint of liquorice as well.
