2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, - JAN 30, 2009
courtesy of Antonio Rey Ruiz - reddish and clear colour, little persistent foam; aroma of coconut and paint, chewy malts; sweet and solid malt body; aftertaste of solvant, alcohol and red fruits - looks like something went wrong during fermentation
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lowenbrau (342) - SPAIN - APR 26, 2012
750ml bottle. Caramel and sweet aromas. Pours dark brown with some amber notes. Nice tan head, long lasting. Medium body, average carbonation. Tastes sweet, well balanced despite its abv. Long sweet finish.
Probably the best one of Belenos beers, but, as said before, the merit goes to La Binchoise.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tarjei (1949) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2009
75 cl bottle at my garage-tasting May 8th. Bought in La Manga, Spain in the spring 2008. Golden color, fine off-white head. Aroma is Belgian with fruit, spices, yeast and some alcohol. Flavor is fruity, malt, fine sweetness and has some bitterness and alcohol. They can brew beer with taste in Spain...!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 yngwie (9177) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle, 75cl corked. A golden beer with chunks of yeast and a small, creamy, beige head. Dried fruits, some spices, sweetness and a little alcohol in the aroma. The flavor has dried fruits and some banana initially, soon followed by pale malts, alcohol and some bitterness. Nice blend of sweetness and bitterness in the finish. Warm, full-bodied and effervescent. The beer is actually a bit on the warm side, but sure was a pleasant surprise from Spain. (090508)
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Allen (2469) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 30, 2009
Aroma: Very sweet with a huge amount of coconut. Hints of marmite and glue. Flavor and palate: Overly sweet with a huge amount of crystalline sugar and coconut. Medium to full bodied. Poor finish. Overall impression: Mediocre.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JensenTaster (1718) - DENMARK - DEC 11, 2007
(on corked 75cl bottle) Dark orange, clear, with a largebobbled head, steady. Straight-up belgian yeast flavour - flour, damp-from -basement, vanilla and dirt. Perky and a nice warm alcoholfeel throughout the whole beer. Got abricot, almond, humus, black pepper and soft apple. The beer is solid and it makes me think of the first danish mikros, not so long ago. How exeting it was to get just something different, a whole new world opend up, hope this beer is the first of a new spanish mikroscene.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - AUG 11, 2007
Corked Bottle Hazy copper color; persistent head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, pepper, light citrus fruits, light malt and very light sourness. Good body strength; malty taste, very sweet (or mostrly, the bitterness is low), a bit fruity. Straight beer, but, wow, finally in Spain somebody brews good beers. Best Spanish bottled beer that I tasted so far.
