Nihon (239), Vernon, Connecticut, USA Jul 15, 2008 Typical ale aroma with a hint of cinnamon. Flavor is a little weak/off tasting, I’m getting a lot of cinnamon, like a holiday beer. Off flavors hurt this one. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 12, 2008 I would be too easy to make a joke about brawn butter and shipyard, so I’ll skip it. But it tasted buttery. It did. PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jul 8, 2008 Funny name for a beer, should I expect a shellfish in the bottle? Or drink it alongside lobster? Reddish amber color, minimal head. Aroma is weird, a bit of buttered bread and a vague apricot fruitiness. Flavor is butterscotch diacetyl, a light caramel, and then a huge earthy woody bitterness in the finish. Not sure but tastes like northern brewer hops. I happen to hate northern brewer, so there’s that. metsbcd (82), Connecticut, USA Jun 29, 2008 Had it on tap at a restaurant. It was ok, but really didn’t have all that much flavor to it. At least it didn’t actually taste like lobster. That would just be weird in a beer. WeeHeavySD (2942), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 28, 2008 12oz. Bonus from a long ago trade. Poured into a pint. Pours Amber with a big foamy head. Slightly sweet nose. Light taste overall a dp for me. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2008 Draft. Poured a deep amber body with thin head. Aroma is light malt and caramel. Flavor is light caramel, sweet maltiness and light spices. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 this makes for a nice session beer with your friends or with a nice meal, sweet malts and low-medium hop build. Its a decent beer to hang around with. nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 The aroma is yeasty with grassy hops and grainy malt. The appearance is amber with a decent head. The flavor is like the aroma and not special. The palate is thin. Overall it’s alright.
