Commercial Description:
Dark ruby color, moderate head of foam, big fruity nose. Robust fruity palate is packed with apple-pear character, nice malt backbone, barely balancing hops in the finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear light amber with a thin off white head and slight lacing. Aroma is typical shipyard - light to medium Diacetyl with moderate toffee sweetness, and caramel. Flavor is light with a wierrd off pasteurized twang to it- slick and lightly nutty, caramell and chocolate hint. Wierd finish- slick and bitter - almost astringent. Glad I only bought a single.

12 oz. bottle. Pours copper with a frothy off-white head. Fruity red apple peel aroma with caramel to toffee malts and a touch of butterscotch--reminded me of English Pales and ESBs in that sense. Caramel and toast flavors balanced adequately with earthy hops. Dry, earthy finish. Seemed a tad thin in body and overcarbonated however, the only real drawbacks. Otherwise a drinkable session, but not a standout.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber body under a one finger fizzy off-white head that faded to a partial covering. Nose is crackery toasted malt with a light hoppiness. A slight hint of diacetyl. Flavor is toasted crystal malt with very light hop bitterness. Thankfully none of that diacetyl that I thought was in the nose showed up. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with a watery texture and moderate fizzy forced carbonation. Overall, just another Amber Ale. Boring.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus and some grains. Tastes of caramel, citrus, grainy, and toasted malts. Thinner body.

poured a really dark amber color, it was almost brown. A thin tan head which had some retention. Aroma was a mix of caramel and an almost corn-like malt. Flavor was initially sweet with mild caramel notes, it never really seemed fruity but there was a light wood-like character too it. It finished with a pleasant hop bite. decent.

pretty damn nice. smells nice with a hoppy like citrus grapefruit aroma that is clearly impressive. then tastes like wood and cherry with no citrus at all. nice trick! medium consistancy and still a bit refreshing. bit of caramel in there but it is not overly present. hop profile is very much like a good octoberfest -just a tingle on the tongue. me like!

Fortunately, this did not have lobster flavor, although you never know these days. Actually bought this more as a novelty than anything (when in Maine.....), but it wasn’t too bad. Poured to a reddish brown color with off-white head that lingered to mid-glass and left okay lacing. Nose was slightly grainy, with some floral hops and dark malts. Flavor was more of the same, with a slight leaning toward the malt side, all which led to a medium length, semi-sweet finish. Would make a decent session beer.
