COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby color, moderate head of foam, big fruity nose. Robust fruity palate is packed with apple-pear character, nice malt backbone, barely balancing hops in the finish.

Draft @ Slainte. Poured a deep copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose is a touch of cardboard and sweet caramel malt. The palate is buttery and sticky... lots of oxidized dactyl qualities... popcorn, caramel, and a little burnt onion rings on the finish. Blah

Bottle. Copper coloured with a thin, white, head. Sweet caramel and yeasty red fruits, a hint or roastiness and rather boozy finish. A bit crude, but drinkable.

Pours a ruby-tinted brown with a thin, bubbly head that dissipates within a minute or two. Nose is a touch sweet with cider notes. Taste is lightly sweet at first with a crisp, hop-tinged rye finish. Light body, lively carbonation. Good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A quite nice red. Pours a beautiful deep red with a white head. Smells of molasses and vanilla. More vanilla in the taste with a bit of hops in the finish, nicely balanced. Had on tap at Front Street Pub in Maine.

Red-brown with small tan head. Aroma malty, light hops. Medium body. Fruity off-dry flavor, malty. Not complex or anything but reasonable.

Friend shared with me. Nah. Smelled and tasted like an amber bock. Very malty, not well balanced. Lots of carb. Not for me.

I had this at Mad Pub. Pours amber wit white head. Taste malt, Carmel, lightly sweet. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear copper colour with red aspirations topped by an average head that recedes slowly. Toffee and darkish fruit on the nose. Lots of red/purple fruit on the palate with a light toffee vibe. Ends pretty dry with no real finish to speak of. It really just drops off. Palatable but uninteresting.

Deep clear, amber color, decent off-white head. Aroma is a bit bready malty with notes of caramel. Light-bodied. Very English nutty, caramelly maltyness, dry bitterness in the finish. Basic good elements are there, but beer is not very exiciting. Very British it is.

Caramel, bread some melon and grass in the aroma. Red to brown colour with a small white head. Quite sweet with a light bitterness that balances well. Light to medium body with a lively carbonation. Dry finish. Overall a OK ale, easy drinkable.
