Agree with daknole, below. Paired with lobster? Ha ha. coldbrewky (742), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Bottle consumed while shopping in Boothbay Maine. Moderate coppper in glass. thin head dissipates instantaneously. Thin, wormy lacing rings the glass and soon dropps to oblivion. The boring and flatline body does little to quench my thirst. A metallic tang finish. Blah Maverick34 (729), New York, USA

I never knew there was a market for a beer that smelled/tasted like....uh..lobster, but I guess there is. I swear to god my bottle tasted exactly like lobster. Oh yeah it was a rather boring ale after that.. Hawksfan17 (718), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2009 Pours reddish amber and has notes of sweet corn syrup and malt. Sweet, light and tasty is a good way to describe the flavor. Smooth but couldn’t drink too many. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2006 12 oz. brown screwtop bottle whose lable would seem to indicate that it is among the last to have been brewed by the Belfast Bay company as opposed to Shipyard...
Surprisingly dark red, almost brown in color with about a finger of off-white head. Smells malty with a hint of hop bitterness. Roasty malt flavor, maybe a hint of skunk unfortunately. Medium to full bodied. Tasty, but it would be better if it didn’t have just that hint of skunk quality to it. It gets better as the skunkiness dissipates somewhat. A pretty decent ale, I’d say. Too bad Shipyard brews it now, only because the character of the ale will probably change a little. mcox90 (661), Wilton, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown/red color with a thin white head. Nose is mild hops & grains. Maybe a little fruit. Palate is hearty with average carbonation. Flavor is mostly malts with some floral hop flavor. Nothing special, but not bad either. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Amber pour with a fizzy offwhite head. Aroma is very toasted malt and bitter hops. Flavor is Toffee, more toasted malt, some light fruitiness and bitter hops at the finish which impart some nice dryness to the ale. Much nicer as it warms, very mild and drinkable. puboflyons (629), New Hampshire, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2009 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with an August ’10 expiration date. It pours copper with ruby highlights and a hefty, frothy off-white head. Strong fruity and malt aroma. Creamy texture on the tongue. The taste is of sweet malts with a nice American hops follow up. It ended on the dry side.
