Dark as night. Thick, rich malt flavor with a touch of lactose and smooth oats. Roasted aftertaste was very impressive. Lighter body but adequate. Nice, all in all.

bottled, thanks to skykob for bringing this back from the states. almost black with a thin light brown head; full aroma of coffee, plum and petrifd wood; plenty of flavours - nail polish, liquorice, salty porridge, cocoa powder; somewhat watery texture but quite drinkable nonetheless

Bottle, best by Oct. ’12. Pours dark brown with a small mocha head. Aromas of roasty chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Milky, sweet cocoa flavor, with some coffee. Alright. [1001]

Pours black with a decent tan head and lacing. Aroma and flavor are roasted malt, oats, and some coffee and chocolate. A medium mouthfeel and thinkness to the body. Its a descent stout, almost as good as the one I made.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a deep black color with very tan head, no lacing. Aroma was of alcohol, some chocolate and roasted malts. Taste was initially coy then opened up into somewhat of an alcoholic mess and all other flavors were lost. I'm not a stout lover so this opinion is biased. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black thinner than expected pour. Aromas of oatmeal, smoke, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste was roast and oatmeal. A little thin in the body. Not bad.

Black in the tradition of the darkest of the dark knights. A luxurious chocolate head soon flattens to a thin frothed layer. The aroma is thick with molasses, coffee, tar and ashen burned out embers of cigarette butts. Further aeration parts the stronger components and lays a cool stream of earthy chocolate malt. Surprisingly, this one is rather thin-bodied, with a definite oaty character that smooths out some of the harshness, though the finish is a bit too acrid with ash.

12 ounce bottle that pours a thin carbonated black cola color. Aromas of some coffee, chocolate, and a touch of roast. Flavor is much of the aroma, light on the palate, not as thick as I was hoping for.

355ml bottle. Pours black with some dark brown around the edges. Head was medium sized and very dark, almost milk chocolate head. Very good aroma, some chocolate, coffee, alcohol and lots of roasty malts. Taste doesn’t quite hold up to the presentation. Some coffee, toffee, chocolate with roasty bitterness dominating and a hint of soy sauce on the finish. Palate was lighter than the appearance suggested with a dry finish, but is not watery at all. Overall, starts strong but then doesn’t quite hold to the finish. It is not bad at all, especially for the price, but it is not amazing.
