Starting with naturally-pure esker water, Mons Abbey Blonde is brewed from Pilsen and Pale Ale malt, hopped with Styrian Gold hops, and Saaz hops give it aroma, with a classic yeast from Belgium. Before you open a bottle, chill it to around 43°, and then tilt the glass and pour, allowing a nice head to form. Reserve the final ounce and pour it into a shot glass, yeast and all… and decide if you or your guest gets the flavorful brewer’s yeast. Mons Abbey Blonde is delicious with lighter foods, such as chicken, salmon, salads, and Monterey Jack cheese. For dessert, try it with apricot or orange cake, or any citrus custard tart. Salut!

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy medium orange amber with a persistent white head, lace that circles the brew 1/2" up. Taste is yeasty, wheaty malt that moves through the palate gaining momentum as slight bitters join to keep it on an even keel. A very nice light Belgian Ale, tasty and enjoyable. Recommended.

750 ml bottle from The Beer Store. Pours a lightly cloudy golden colour with billowing white head and some floaties. Aroma is Belgian yeast with sour apple and light spice as well as some graininess and flowers. Flavour is also yeasty with lots of sour fruitiness, gentle clove, grains and some floral hops. Some alcohol apparent. Decent.

Dégustée (bouteille) le 2 juin 2013 au Mondial de la Bière 2013 à Montréal (D25C3K416i). Bière blonde pâle limpide. Aucun col. Très très peu effervescente. Odeur de sucre brûlé. Très douce, très sucrée, peu amère. Saveur de ginger ale fade, goûte un peu l’eau. Mince et plutôt flatte, manque de caractère.

5/8/14. 750ml. Pours hazy straw gold with a thin head and no lacing. Mild Belgian yeast nose that is quite pleasant. Interesting malt dominant mouth that is still quite bright. Not boozy. Can you say session Abbey? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014-02-28. Crisp yellow body with a large foamy white head. 3++ Aroma is lightly alcoholic, pale malt. 3+ Flavour is moderately alcoholic, pale malt core, dry finish with a lightly floral hop character. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Pretty drinkable but its an okay example of a style I don’t love. Lacks the depth of flavour to cover up the (admittedly moderate) alcohol character. Pale golden pour with a thin white head. Bright and fairly spicy yeast with a little bit of bright peppery spice. Some nice fruity spice with a little bit of soft clean pepper. Clean and peppery. A touch of soft fruit and a bit of clean pepper. Bright and spicy. Really nice.

750ml bottle shared by gregclow with me, blankboy, jercraigs, mabel and joemcphee. Slightly hazy pale gold with a smallish lasting off-white creamy/frothy head. Floral and boozy golden ale, Belgian yeast, pretty generic but decent. Taste - yep - grassy tripel, some booze - simple but good. Average body, strong carbonation, finishes quick - solid.
