2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 probstblueribbon (2381) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 11, 2013
750 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Hazy light golden with a fragile white head.
Aroma: Fairly spicy and zingy, some nice citrus peel, a little yeast, some wheat, a touch of a savoury note..., light esters, fair.
Palate: Medium body, fairly lively effervescence.
Flav.: More esters than the nose, a little floral honey, lighter spice and citrus character, faint yeast, fairly refreshing; dry with low bitterness and a somewhat vapid wheat-like finish.
Not particularly memorable...for either good or bad characteristics.

Ok witbier but a bit on the mild/bland side. Everything is there but not to the extent I would like it, ie. there could be more wheat influence in the malt and as the bottle says there is a "hint" of coriander and orange peel and that is accurate. Not bad and easy drinking but not enough character to be a memorable beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Silverbush85 (41) - - MAY 3, 2013
Very light in color, smell is not overpowering. Taste is great to start but a more then anticipated bitter end to a beer with high expectations.
If your expecting something similar to a blue moon you are mistaken. This is lighter, less wheatier flavor, and bitter.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by Franky Boy, thanks! Straw color with a small white head and almost no lacing. Aroma of malt, slight orange peel and really discrete spices. Taste is fruity along with malt, lemon zest, orange peel and light coriander. Medium body. Moderate carbonation but somewhat sparkling at times. Good balance and drinkability. Not too much coriander and orange as in some other Belgian White. Surprising.

Cheers!

Bottle. Poured a hazy golden with a good head and not much lacing as it went. Bubbles constantly rising as I drank. Got floaters half way though. Guess I did not pour carefully. Coriander and citrus in the aroma. More of the same in the flavor. It was ok.

Tastes like it came form belgian, other than that I can’t say much, it is a mild and unoffensive witbier.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3979) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 4, 2013
Bottle: Poured a pale yellow ale with white haze and a medium size foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of coriander and light orange peel is quite dominant. Taste is a mix between nice coriander and orange peel notes with medium wheat malt presence and light lingering sweet notes. Body is about average full with medium carbonation. The level of spice is pretty bang on but it lacks a bit of body and better carbonation.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Tricker (205) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2013
Bière blanche de 5 % d’alcool. Moyen col mousseux au versement. Elle possède un goût assez doux avec un bon goût de blé. Aucune amertume lié à des agrumes, qui est une tendance chez une bière blanche habituellement. Très bonne !
