COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Starting with this naturally pure Abitibi Esker water, Mons Abbey Witte is brewed with passion and devotion to time-honored Belgian tradition from a blend of malted and unmalted wheat infused with Styrian Golding hops, Hallertau Hersbrucker, and a hint of coriander and orange peel for a discrete citrusy bouquet.

Refrigerated 25 oz. corked and caged brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with fairly dense several finger bright white head which dissapates quite a bit. Pretty good big bubble lacing, medium body, well carbonated, and nice citrus aroma. Taste is citrus ( mostly orange), some banana, some coriander, and a hint of spice. This is a good wit.

Peach, banana, and mil lemon zest nose. Hazy golden, thin head. Banana and apricot flavor with a mild lemongrass finish. Tasty and delicious, but not very true to style. Good stuff.

750 mL bottle courtesy of obguthr at the 19th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Ppurs a slightly hazy straw yellow, medium creamy white head. Decent head retention. Bready, doughy citrus, stone fruits, spicy finish. The taste is stone fruits, bread, citrus, spice. Medium bodied, creamy.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow ale with white haze and a medium size foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of coriander and light orange peel is quite dominant. Taste is a mix between nice coriander and orange peel notes with medium wheat malt presence and light lingering sweet notes. Body is about average full with medium carbonation. The level of spice is pretty bang on but it lacks a bit of body and better carbonation.

Cheers!

750 ml bottle shared with friends. Pours a whitish-orangeish nearly opaque with a nice white head. Smell is yeast, orange, spices, wheat. Hint of banana in there, too. Taste is wheat, orange, yeast, cake, banana, sweetbread. Finish is light spices, dry, salty. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Good!

Richmond 19th. Fairly clear gold, slightly citric aroma. Flavor is wheaty, very faint citrus and coriander. Not bad at all, but nothing stands out. Not bad, but definitely not turned up to 11.
