DruncanVeasey (1737), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Nov 22, 2007 Attractive coppery pour with a well-retained head and lively carbonation. Sourish apple-like aroma reminiscent of a fruity English bitter (Badger?),with hints of cinnamon, honey, candy sugar. Palm’s thumbprint is definitely on this one. Fruity, smooth and caramel malty with a sweet wheaty aftertaste. An enjoyable beer. Maria (4439), Thisted, Denmark Jun 1, 2007 Golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavour is sweetish with notes of caramel, malt, light fruit and it’s actually very uncomplicated and rather charming. 2290 Jukkabro (2405), Tampere, Finland Sep 4, 2006 Light coppery color, medium sized yellow head. Fruity, malty, sweet and apply aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also fruity with obvious apple and honey, medium alcohol in aftertaste warms, but not too much. Biting carbonation. sayravai (3186), Helsinki, Finland Jul 26, 2006 (Bottled) Deep, dark golden-amber color with a tight, white and lacy head. Honey-fruity, sweetish, slightly alcoholic aroma. Slightly roasty, somewhat alcoholic flavor with some chemicals and toffee. Medium-bodied, quite low-carbonated palate with surprisingly smooth and unnoticeable alcohol for the ABV. Wow - didn’t realize this was an ale (and of my favorite style, too). I rated it as an European Strong Lager (from a regular pint), and as such it was very good and smooth indeed. Too bad it was the only (?) bottle at the local pub, as a re-rate would be in order... DougShoemaker (2614), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 14, 2006 Rich malt aroma, some caramel also, light copperpours a small cream head. Fruity, malt flavours, slightly nutty. Medium bodied, lightly sweet, fine mouthfeel. Great! Thanks Radek!
