Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a light note of metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of metallic alcohol, spices, and fruit. OK, but not really Belgian.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 FatPhil (6205) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 11, 2009
500ml bottle (Carrefour, Warsaw)
Deep orange, persistent spongy head. Dusty deep aroma, a touch caramelly. Lively carbonation. Caramelly and sweet, rather simple beyond that - some mushroom, some aromatic hops. Some sense of alcohol, but not actually tasting boozy. Hard to believe it’s a Belgian Strong Ale - tastes more like a bock to me.
