1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
330 ml green bottle, as "Classic Gingers Beer / Piwo Imbirowe". Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Original gravity 11.8%, ABV is 4.1%. Admixtures: E300 anti-oxidant, caramel E150c-colour, apple acid E296 acidity regulator. Contains barley malt, sugar and sweetening substances: glucose syrup, E950, E951. Contains a source of phenylalanine. In other words: not quite "Reinheitsgebot" .... Good grief!
Crystal clear pale golden colour, with relatively big bubbles. Fizzy and foamy head that dies out completely after a while. Strong sweetish aroma of ginger, glucose syrup and disgusting chemical stuff. The flavour is also very sweet, but not really disgusting - it has a lot in common with the softdrink / mixer ginger "ale". There’s just a weak notion that the basis of this drink is actually a beer. People who really like "ginger ale" might like this beer too. I’ll pass, thank you.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a bronze color with a quick disappearing head. heavy aroma of, you guessed it, ginger. Also quite a heavy aple aroma (it appears to be flavored with artificial apple, caramel, and some other stuff (as was mentioned in another review, the ingredients are full of "E" artifical stuff). Unfortunately as was mentioned, the thick syrupy feel is not helpful. Spicey ginger bites the tounge quite a bit and stays with you for a while. All in all, I suppose if you like alchopop and if you like ginger, then this is definitely for you.

Looks clear and pale yellow in the glass. Ginger and apple aromas. Very refreshing drink, mouthfeel is fizzy and fruity. Actually doesn’t taste like a beer at all.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
For someone who do not like the taste of the regular beer or never acquired a taste for normal beer’s, this is a best regular beer alternative.
Very refreshing, can be compared to the wine coolers, with strong but not overpowering taste of ginger.
I wish that someone starts to import this to US, St. Louis and Chicago area preferably. :)

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2006 0.5l can shared with and courtesy of ozujsko (thanks!)
Classic Gingers Beer. My first ginger beer.... never had a drink with ginger (that I can remember), so I had nothing to compare it to. It poured a pale ochre/orange colour with lively carbonation. The nose is apparently dominated with ginger (not that I knew, but ozujsko said that that was ginger, and I trust him). It was nice enough. The taste is damn sweet.... It tasted like a radler someone dumped some ginger and aspartame in. Not that unlike "tequila flavoured" beers like Desperados. The number of E’s in the ingredients is staggering...but apart from aspartame all seem to be harmless. I didn’t dislike it as much as I probably should have, and I thought it was a nice... well, juice.
Oh, and why on Earth is there a tornado on the label ?
