2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, - AUG 1, 2006
Draught at the brewpub. Muddy colored with a fizzy fast disappearing head. Sweet malt and toffee aroma with some chocolate. Sweet flavor as well, malty slightly roasted with a biding touch on the tongue. Not a lot of flavor, but not bad at all. Rather bland though.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown, small head. Vague raisiny nose. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Fruity, salty and lightly ashy. Very straightforward. No reminiscence at all to a Belgian ale - surely just a reddish lager.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Theis (9217) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 27, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Red/brown - big offwhite (light brown) head. Aroma: Cappuchino, light berries, and some licorice. Taste: Cappuchino-chokolate, red berries, light licorice, light candy (vingummi), light belgium yeast, light bread. OK complex.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerBiker (1412) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2007
[On tap locally at the brewpub in the old quarter in Hanoi in 2005.]
On the very first day at our 3 months tour we had to go to this brewpub mentioned in the Lonely Planet. With the locals we enjoyed this wonderful beer while they served some spicy fritters for the kids. Really a great start. Red-muddy look with flat head. Malty sweetness with caramelnotes. Same characters for the flavor added with some medium bitterness. Fresh and enjoyable. Recomendable beer and place!
