BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy golden, big white head. Nice aroma of fresh peaches and apricots, light spice, some honey and alcohol. The taste is simple, fruity sweetness, spicy alcohol and phenolic bitterness. Mediocre.

Puissante en bouche. Céréales, Houblons, Herbes. Belle couleur dorée et trouble, fin voile de mousse qui tient. Une bière de caractère agréable.

330ml bottle bought at BeYummi’s kiosk during Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest 2015 in Central.

Looks: Cloudy hazy straw blonde colour with a thin hard crustof yeast sedimentsOne finger head and crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with active slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant and tart malt, with banana, very strong yoghurt, very light vanilla, caramel, alcohol light phenolic, dough, strong Bel yeast, light spices, thin lemon and faint grass.

Taste: Medium to light sweet malt, with very strong tartness, light vanilla, caramel, wood, red fruits, sugar, alcohol, strong yeast, phenolics, lemon, pretty strong bitter hops, strong herbs and fresh grass.

Body: Full body. Quick thick and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Good maltyness in a rich and creamy body. Fairly rough to the tongue likely from the spelts. Somehow, the hops seems to amplify wheat to the fore, very tart and yoghurty, which cancels out the sweetness and booze. Very grassy, herbal very lemony hops to round. Good!

Hoppiness: Light spices, thin lemon and faint grass in nose. Wood, strong lemon, strong herbs and fresh grass in taste. Bitterness is pretty strong for a lasting, mid-to-high astringent herbal bitter-sweet finish.

After Taste: Quite dry. Creamy, herbal and lemony bitter to mouth.

Comments: Looks like this Belgoo guys are really into spelt and dry hopping. A small par above the Bio Amber, with a lot more lemony hops, yoghurt tartness,. And slightly boozier. The end result is a very enjoyable, herbal-hoppy and spelt-infused strong Belgian. Recommended!

Nice crisp, clear golden coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall pure white head - clear for a tripel. Aroma of bread, yeast, coriander seed, curacao, honey, alcohol, strong malt and a bit more bread and yeast. Full-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a good honey and sweet flavour, some light apricot and pear flavours, a touch of grain and hay, but a pleasant malt and wheat component and a little coriander seed freshness as well. Aftertaste shows a nice sweet finish, but the yeast comes through, but balanced by the grass and herbal elements. Overall, a nice beer showing almost more of a singel or plain blonde belgian, but a bit of the honey and yeast comes through near the end. Still, great to sample and enjoy a true belgian beer. I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €2,50 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of the Atlantic on 19-July-2015.

Aspecto de tripel. Pajiza turbia. Bastantes cosas buenas. Aire fresco en la tradición belga.
