from la Mise en Bière - clear amber-bronze beer with a long lasting creamy foam; nice lacework; aroma of bread and caramel; full-bodied, sweet and with a late earthy bitterness; creamy palate and with a long bready, yeasty finish with hints of dark fruits

Flaska från Saveur-biere. Bärnstensfärgad, lite fint jästsediment, högt vitt skum som skapar fina gardiner. Lite trippelliknande med mycket säd och bröd i smakbilden, värmande alkohol, medelstor sötma, honung, gammaldags karameller, lite kryddig med koriander och curacao, lätt beska. Trevlig

Couleur ambrée trouble, bonne mousse blanche crèmeuse. Nez levure un peu fromage moisi. Gout fruité avec forte levure et arome fromage moisi... Mal conservée?

Wow... thats a weird smell... very malty and yeasty. Malt smells like it’s cooked to the bottom of the brew kettle... the taste alone doesn’t make it appealing. Taste is well balanced, but the flavours make it all blur together in something that is hard to discribe. The aftertaste is nice tho. COuld be good with some Abbey cheese. Actually, lets have some cheese with it. That works very good. 0,1 extra points for being great with abbey cheese ;)

Biological three-grains ale (barley, wheat and oats) since 2010. Creamy, snow white head, colour a misty blonde (nowhere near amber despite the name!) with even a somewhat greenish hue. Sourish wheat aroma with lots of fruity sweetness (peach, apple, banana) but also less appealing phenolic (plastic) odours and DMS (cooked cabbage). Neutral and a bit mineral-like taste, after which a sweetish graininess comes up, paired with wheaty sourishness that lasts till deep into the finish, where some astringent solvent impressions also appear. Flawed and unbalanced beer, at least the one I tasted, but I didn’t find much in this to become motivated for a re-rate.

the aroma is malty and spicy with notes of citrus... the taste is rather rough, with shades of grapefruit, oranges and caramel and noticeable hopping... sweet and bitter aftertaste..

Butelka 33cl. Osobiście uważam to piwa za jedno z mniej udanych. Profil piwa jest bardziej podobny do jasnego ejla belgijskiego niż do typowego bursztynowego gdzie powinno być wyczuwalne więcej niuansów karmelowych czy nawet palonego karmelu. Ma mocny aromat owoców pomarańczy, jabłka i wiśni. W smaku lekko kwaskowate i drożdżowe. Posmak przypomina owocowy charakter. Gorycz jest o profilu pestki jabłka. Ogólnie orzeźwiające i całkiem bogate. Dla amatorów estrów w tym stylu piwo powinno smakować dużo bardziej. Ja po prostu miałem ochotę na karmel.
