Scopey (9772) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2013
Bottle at Watford tasting, thanks to Matteo. Enticing name... It pours deep amber with a medium beige head. The nose is earthy, stewed orange, sherbet, tangerine, candy and sponge cake. The taste is wood, orange, tangy, tangerine, sherbet, caramel, light alcohol and some bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Doesn’t quite live to the name. Not a whole lot to it, but decent enough.

Bottle at home. Clear amber pour, thick white head. Aroma of asparagus-pee. I never expected to smell this unmistakable horror that emerges every time I eat the delicious vegetables when tasting beer. Horrific. The taste is not that bad, some spices, malts, quite boring even, but this is by far the most terrifying aroma I ever encountered. Can’t make myself enjoy this.

Countbeer (5505) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Big off white to light vanilla ish colored foamy head on top of a hazy amber colored beer. Aromas of malts, grains, glue, sweat, some card board, some orange and some old hay. Flavours of malts, soap, bitters, hay, grains, barley malts, yeast, sppiced, sharp, some bark, some paper, herbs, dust and some cream. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, sharper grains and hay, some herbs and a sprinkle of yeast. Low to medium carbo, creamy foamy lightly blown mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Funny, the last of the Belgoo beers I had left and also the least interesting and least tasty one...

ekstedt (6085) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 14, 2013
Bottle (33 cl) from beergusto.be. Shady amber, medium off-white head. Fruity, slightly caramelly aroma with some earthy, almost funky notes, floral and herbal hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness.

Stubby 330 ml bottle, thanks to Mathieu87. Into at rapport glass, ABV 7.8% Pours a light amber brown beer with one finger of white and soapy head sitting on top of it. Very good retention. Nicely formed lacing around the glass. Aroma has some sourness on it, white grapes, light wheat. Tastes quite nice. Light caramel, malts, spelt, a touch of sour white grapes, good mixture of sweetness and sourness. And that’s before the bitterness of the aftertaste kicks in. Long enough duration. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Overall very good.

Panzerfaust (659) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - NOV 4, 2013
Bottled from Jumbo in Santiago. Pours a hazy amber color with a big white fluffy head that looks gorgeous. Aroma is malty, fruity with intense notes of sour cherries, overripe apricots and marzipan. Reminds me a little of a Flemish Sour. Taste is predominantly sweet with clear sourness and tart flavors. It’s a rather simple and straight-forward beer without complex nuances of Abbey or Trappist belgians. Medium to big body and lingering aftertaste. I didn’t mind the tartness but I wouldn’t get out of my way to try it again.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier
Hazy copper-amber color, with generous fluffy head. Light aroma of malt, coriander, fruits and rubber. Good body strength, some malt flavor, some spiciness from the yeast, light caramel; it has some fermentation byproducts, mainly evident in the rubber presence; moderate residual sweetness; ordinary bitterness.

33cl bottle. Appearance: amber beer, small stable white head. Nose: bread, hops, some alcohol, pilsener like, lots of malts. Taste: weird taste, hard to describe, rather ’green’, quite some grains, can’t really say I like this one, but nothing actually bad about it.

sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2013
Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruity yeast, caramel and light acidic. Flavour is malt, perfume, yeast, banana and caramel. Strange.
