Golden color, white head. Aroma of orange peels, lemon and spieces. Taste is the same, with typical belgian yeast notes. Medium bitterness.Interesting aftertaste full of orange peels!

Belgian blond beer that leans towards an IPA. Sweetish and spicey, with some extra hops.

Bottle from ABC Leuven. Nice hoppy nose, lemon, orange peel, biscuits, spicy, slightly funky yeast. Nice glowing gold color with a high, fine, pillowy head. Somewhat sweet lemon-orange flavor, grassy, hay, bread, nice hops. Nicely crisp and bitter without being overly so. Crisp, light palate. This is very drinkable, and the way I like hoppy Belgian ales—not too malty, not trying to be an IPA, not sweet, just a great hoppy blonde. Very Belgian, and done right. The oats seem to smooth it out well. I could drink this forever.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy yellow brown, good head. Yeasty tropical fruit aroma. Dry bitter lemon aftertaste. A bit watery. Satisfactory.

Tap @ de Zwaan, Dworp, medium sample. Hazy golden color, big rocky head. Aroma of flowery hop, some citrus, slight spicy yeast which is only present in the background. Medium bitter in taste. Wonderfully balanced actually, smooth, easy to drink. The hops combine nicely with the belgian yeast. Good complexity.

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 05/2014. Pours hazy yellow in color with a foamy white head. Notes of citrus and lavender in aroma, some floral notes as well. Hay and mild soapy notes in taste. Smooth and higly drinkable with a gentle grassy bitter finish. Summer drink for sure, enjoyed at the seashore on a warm and sunny day, which was nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light strawish golden colour, thin white head. Quite high carbonation. Light bright crisp golden ale, soft mouthfeel, not especially spicy. Bitter hop finish, flowery. The flavour is a bit elusive...some sips were highly promising, others a tad bland. Easy drinking, pleasant, nearly very good.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2014 33cl bottle, arrived fresh from Geers by Belgo-taxi. Finally, a generation 2.0 , i.e. US dry-hopped Belgian ale fit for summer sessioning! Even at 6,5% this Citra dry hopped ale feels sparkling light, with a confidently thin mouthfeel, doesn’t wear its ABVs on its sleeve like Duvel Triple Hop (defensively increasing the ABV by 1% to counteract the extra hops...), without any self-esteem issues about its immense drinkability. Aroma is onedimensionally focussed on shades of citrus, with fruity wheat touches (2 grains used). Trendier brewers would have found more direct inspiration in an APA (certain overlap with Hopfenstopfer Citra), but the distinctly Belgian pillowy and dry yeast profile makes this an engaging beer, just complex enough to be more than a thirst quencher. Importing a case of this next summer...Rerate X2013: have to add that in aging the air-freshener dryhop quality protrudes, creating a very superficially fragrant Citrus aroma on top of a summery saison base. -0,2 (1st sampled @ZBF 04/2013: pink grapefruit, lychee kitsch aromas on solid light grassy Belgian).

Blonde pâle trouble, effervescence moyenne, col blanc crémeux et tenace. Maltée d’entrée avant que ne se révèle un goût d’agrumes (citron/pamplemousse) suivi d’une amertume des plus agréables.
