An impressive, dry and interesting blonde ale. First sampled at Brasserie de l’Union in Saint-Gilles. Yeasty, fruity nose with some grassy hops in the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor, going dry toward the finish. Full and smooth yet lively mouthfeel. I’ve seen this promoted around town, very glad I finally tried it.

On Tap @ Fountainhead. A hazy blonde with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, beautiful ginger snap bread, orange pulp, pungeant essential oils. In mouth, ginger snap cookies, oily mouthfeel, cardamom, loads of spices. Medium bodied. Delicious.

small frothy white head. thick cloudy dark yellow body. mostly diminishing. good lacing. aroma: tons of orange and caramel, honey, barley. if: moderate sweet and very light bitter. ff: moderate sweet light bitter. long duration. palate: medium full body, soft carbonation, creamy texture, light astringent finish. Leffe’s wheat cloudiness, more alcoholic warming than its abv would stand for, pleasant tasty sweetness, very craty and classical Belgian. 90s so worth 13,5

Pours pale golden with a low head. Aroma is sour apple, flavor is quite similar at first but the finish has lots of malts. Quite original. I like.

33cl bottle, BB 06/06/2013, should be best as a specialty grains.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow-orange color, somewhat pale, with a huge head. Citrusy golden malt aroma, honey and biscuits. Pilsner character evident. Sweet pilsner malt and honey flavor, cereals, a touch of butter, wheat. Like a smooth, thick, pilsner with a bit of Belgian yeast! Citrus fruits are restrained, as is general fruitiness. Light noble hop finish. Very smooth, creamy body. Very original, and decently made, though not exactly great. Too sweet and cloying, with not enough hops, though the malt character is interesting. (I just found out it was a 4 grain beer. The oats are definitely having an impact on body, the wheat on taste. Needs hops!)

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2009 bottle 33cl. hazy golden colour with a lovely head that stays for a while. aroma is sweet and malty, feels like a triple, but with less alcohol and not that strong. nevertheless it is worth another taste!

33cl bottle. Pours hazy golden with a nicely proportioned head and steady bubbles. The nose has pineapple sorbet, with a hint of ginger and perhaps lemon grass. The taste has more of the pineapple and some herbs. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and an elegant finish. Overall, a good balanced blonde.
