yngwie (3342), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. An almost clear yellow-golden pour leaves a white head. The aroma is spiced, fruity and sweetish, with pale malt. Fruity flavor with pear and apple, quite grainy, and with a pleasant level of hops giving a decent bitterness. Medium to full body, sweet, yet dry. A quite pleasant beer, but somehow hard to pin. Quite nice though. Huge bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Hazy looking yellow color with particles in flow. Good display of lacework. This was quite a surprise, as I thought this was very smooth and deliciously spiced with a complex yeasty aroma. Over the palate came again well balanced spicy and sweet fruity / yeasty notes and good underlying malty sweetness. Orange peel giving it a nice bitter acidic touch with the coriander mixed in there as well. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation and mild dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of acidic and bitterness. Quite refreshing spicy acidic sweet finish. This was one of these beers that just scream one more. Hazy orange color, small white head. Coriander, grain, some fruits and yeast in the nose, kind of witbier-like aroma. Typical Belgian blonde flavors: fruityness, hoppy bitterness combined with wheat beer flavors: coriander, banana, which touch of candy sugar. Not bad, although not quite interesting. Wim (594), Turnhout, Belgium Jul 17, 2008 hazy gold blond coloured body with a white head a sweet spicy herby aroma a sweet spicy herby taste with a dry spicy little bitter finish
