Cask - I think it was at Three Judges, Glasgow. A golden beer with a thick creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, leading to a boring very lightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is creamy.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 6, 2011
First tasted this at the Brigg Inn, Barrhead in September 1982. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thick creamy white head. Slight hint of tea leaves in the short earthy aroma. Soapy mouthfeel and good lacing. Weak pale malt base gives a slight biscuit note which fades fast. Strong hop presence with dusty resins giving a rather more English bitter bite to proceedings. The finish is bitter sweet edging on the bitter side. An ok session ale but very hard to find now.

Cask, gravity, at St Neots Beer Festival ’11. Amber with a small white head. The faintest of malt aromas with a hint of boiled carrot. Taste is pleasant enough, but at this stage of the festival, I find it hard to put it into words. Malt, I suppose, but not as we know it. Some bitterness. Just about acceptable.
