wcampbell (420), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 12, 2007 Mine was called Belhaven’s Best. Weak flavor due to the low alcohol content. I could drink this like water. Slightly sweet caramel malt flavor, but no traces of hops.
madquacker (488), Canberra ACT, Australia Aug 24, 2008 Reminded me of a Boddingtons. The widget went off and a creamy white head ensued. Does have a honey colour. Abit fish oily and sweet with a few citrus notes. Could have more substance. Bragesnak (1219), Aarhus, Denmark Aug 3, 2008 The Niplick, Aucterader, Scotland.
On tap as Best, 250708.
Amber with nice head. Aroma of malt and corn crisp. Flavor of hop bitterness and caramel. Metallic note. iammarc (177), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Keg. Almost always available in Scottish pubs. Used to rely on this pint a lot to give me a good stomach lining. Can be known for its metallic taste, red currants. Dark body. Dr_Funk (80), Sorumsand, Norway Jul 3, 2008 on tap at the black bull, Killearn.
Pours lovely amber with frothy head, like a kilkenny. For norwegian, this is like coming to beer heaven, but for connossieurs it’s more like burger king; OK... gam (539), brisbane, Australia Jun 29, 2008 Soft thick frothy head on an amber pour, carbonation is good.Aromas hops, biscuit notes, maltiness.Flavour hops, taste is good it has a nice bitter a bit watery, mild citrus taste.Finish bitter malt, not a good beer by a long way, watery.
