3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A perfect British ale. It is mellow, low alcohol, fruity, dry. Beautiful amber color, taste of walnut and fruits, wow. Just stunning. Why the others rate it so low is a mystery to me. Easily Belhaven’s BEST beer. Try for yourself.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Traditional .5l clear glass bottle, brought back to Belgrade by BalkanMac. Interesting beer, and one i’m excited to taste, even though I know what I’m going to think of it. Light, creamy caramel ale, quite high carbonation on the bottle versus the cask. Warm memories of wintertime pubs with this. But it tastes very strange outside of that context. An alright sipper, and nicely balanced sweet-side ale.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Watery, stripped & pasturised. Good head. Vague papery waft of caramel malt. Stoney, minerally almost lager-like dryness. Really pointless.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark amber colour, small head. Aroma is bread with caramel. The taste is also bread, caramel and a hint of smoke. This smoke for me upgrades this from being an average beer to a good beer. The palate lets it down too thin and carbonated.
