COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Can Scottish ale with hints of roast combined with malt & hops giving a bittersweet taste & finish. The 440ml widget can delivers a tight creamy head with lacing to the bottom of the glass. Distinctive trace of warm biscuit tones with clean citrus notes

Unlike many N. Americans, I enjoy British pub draught beers served up warm. I feel that unique pub ambience, as I sip this uncarbonated roasted nut and toffee flavoured brew. Makes me want to run through the highlands in a kilt. Bloody good, mate!

Light copper colour, creamy nitro-enabled head, flawless clarity. Aromas are toffee, biscuits and raisins, flavour pretty much follows suit. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy due to the nitrogen. Slight bitterness in the finish but malt dominates.

440ml draught flow can 4.8% Clear brownish copper, creamy mostly lasting off white head. Faint sweet malty toffee aroma. Flat pressurised mild taste of sweet caramel malt and lightly bitter watery tea. Flat carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Smooth, bland and boring. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle at some pub in Edinburgh. Malt and sweet aromas. Pours light copper colour, with nice thin creamy light brown head, persistent, with poor lacework. Medium body and flat carbonation. Taste is basically malty, with some hint of grass and caramel. Finish is short and sweet. Easy to drink, but a bit plain.

I love these beers, light in ABV; tasty for sure. Creamy head and a nice balanced flavour, not the best but great value. In a can with draughtflow

Another bitter that I thoroughly enjoyed. Had it in a pub in London and it complimented my meal very nicely.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2012 O.K. The offie had this on offer: £5 for 8 slightly out of date cans. (B.B.E. July 2012, purchased on Aug 18th). I suspect it’s a beefed up version of Belhaven Best for the export market. SO, bought some, and opened one, fridge cool. Immediately realised I hadn’t clocked the nitrowidget, Poured the lot into a shaker. Pours dark amber with that unnaturally thick white persistent head. Any aroma struggles to escape the head which lies like a heavy winter duvet on top of the beer. Doesn’t taste too bad, a bit of vanilla toffee there, but the flavours are weak, and the thin and watery palate ruins any prospect of redemption. Oh dear, 7 cans of "lawnmower" beer left, and I don’t have a lawn.
