2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ElDesmadre (372) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 27, 2012
Nitro-can. Beautiful pour with a dense head, just as expected from a nitro beer. From then on it goes downwards. Smell is very faint, some caramel, apples, flowery hops and nuts. Palate is watery, taste is a bit toffeeish, with a grassy-mineral, slightly nutty finish and a light bitterness. It has a quite high drinkability but is overall mediocre, also compared to other nitro beers.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JaKeAFC (145) - ITALY - JAN 26, 2012
44cl can with widget, 3.5%, 1.50€. Clear light amber beer with a super compact small creamy off-white head (lasting til the end) and nitrogen cascade. Nothing on the nose. Light taste of toffee and roasted malts with a gentle hoppy bitterness. Just a bit of metallic sourness probably because of can. Light body, soft to flat carbonation. Veeeeery easy to drink and ultra smooth, sessionable, could have lots of this.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 cyrenaica (745) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2012
440ml can
4.8% ABV (as marked on can)
I tried this beer on January 13, 2012 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent golden red with a creamy tan cap, no doubt aided by the nitro-widget, and mild effervescence. Aroma was a pungent caramel right as the can opened, however in the glass, plenty of grain and metallic notes. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. Flavour was slightly sweet, a bit soapy, and slightly acidic.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PictouRx (76) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 21, 2012
holy smokes, opened a 440ml can and almost exlosion of froth, but managed to get to glass and salvage most of it. Poured forth into glass almost as complete foam extremely violent mixture in glass, I thought a wicked chemistry reaction occuring. But it settled down to give a gorgeous looking dark clear amber color with a nice thick amber/white foam head. Body is very unlively though 10 min after pouring. I get honey, caramel, toffee, slight bitter. Very smooth creamy texture with a long butterscotch like after taste. Overall this was an experience, perhaps can was dropped several times before reaching me, but overall certainly unique in my beer experience tastings so far!
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 jonno (1307) - JAPAN - JAN 1, 2012
Nitroed to buggery. Smooth, creamy and cloying. Gassy. A bit of chocolate and toffee malt with a very soft finish. Shows everything that is wrong with this kind of mass produced ale.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Strangebrewer (494) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2011
can. An absolutely gorgeous pour, clear dark copper with a thick creamy off-white head. Light malty aroma, caramel esters. A thin texture due to the low carbonation, but a nice creamy mouthfeel. A roasted, nutty flavour with some sweet dark raisin notes. Medium bitterness. I can see why they call this BEST, havn’t had a beer this good in a while.

Amber color with a huge tan head. Caramel aroma. Sweet caramel and malt flavor. Lightly bitter finish.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 reebtogi (1478) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 13, 2011
500ml nitro can pours a pale amber color with a creamy white head with good retention leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild caramel and some grassy hops. Taste is light caramel sweetness with some mild hop bitterness. Light bodied with modest carbonation. Overall, this is just another average bitter style ale.
