Experience the best of everything with """"""""the cream of Scottish beer"""""""". Its light creamy head with lacing to the bottom of the glass gives you a taste thatís refreshing and moreish with a hint of hop.

holy smokes, opened a 440ml can and almost exlosion of froth, but managed to get to glass and salvage most of it. Poured forth into glass almost as complete foam extremely violent mixture in glass, I thought a wicked chemistry reaction occuring. But it settled down to give a gorgeous looking dark clear amber color with a nice thick amber/white foam head. Body is very unlively though 10 min after pouring. I get honey, caramel, toffee, slight bitter. Very smooth creamy texture with a long butterscotch like after taste. Overall this was an experience, perhaps can was dropped several times before reaching me, but overall certainly unique in my beer experience tastings so far!

Backlog rating. Draft in Edinbourgh, reminiscence if the trip from 2014. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is grainy and dry, light grassy bitterness and straw. Taste is grainy, slightly sweet upfront an more dry and bitter afterwards, with notes if grass, straw and starch. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, meh

Hazy orange amber colour with a creamy off white head. Noses of hay, malty, toast, some caramel and touches of herbs. Light lively, a bit slick with a light-medium body. herbal malt sweetness with a light citric bitterness on the far back of the palate. Medium finish.

These cans with nitrogen capsule makes all something special about the beer. Well, it does not taste quite as fresh as from a keg, but itís close. Belhaven Best has although creamy and solid foam which is snow-white and persistent. The aroma is malty, as expected in a Scottish ale. The aroma is somewhat hidden away because of the thick foam, but besides malt felt little easy fruit. The taste is rich, despite its íonlyí 3.5% alcohol. Nutty flavors on a background of caramel is the best deScription I can give. Iím actually quite impressed by the great taste as the relatively weak alcohol beer has. It certainly is a beer I like enjoying again.

Keg @ Royal Hotel, Laurencekirk. Amber pour with a dense creamy head. Nose is pretty minimal. Just a touch of bread and some prune. Caramel. Taste is light. Sort of tinny, soft caramel sweetness. Wafers. Light body, soft carbonation.

Can. It?s OK but the combination of a slightly watery beer under a synthetic style creamy head, was weird. Looks nice though. Not too great in all 4.5 out of10
