Bottle from my local ICA. Pours dark ruby with a tiny off-white head, Aroma of dark fruits, weak coffee. Taste is more defined than suggested by the weak aroma, light roasted malts and coffee, high carbonated, dry lingering end.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep ruby-brown one with a medium sized bubbly and lacing ashy-brown top. It’s not to roasty on the aroma, more subtle tracers of blackberries and other dark fruits. Some chocolate paper and traces of cold thin coffee. Not bad, but not fantastic either. It has a nice flavor. Really "English". Noble hoppy with both roasted malts and subtle chocolate. It’s gliding soft oily on the mouthfeel and the carbonation is right below average. It has a nice burned finish that lingers in the aftertaste as well. Really lightdrinkable this, tasty and not bad at all for a lightweighter. 19.01.2013

500ml bottle tasted on December 2012. Black ruby in colour with a foam buff head. Roast grain in the short aroma. Thin oily mouthfeel and poor lacing. Dark malts gives a moist maltloaf base with flavours of dark chocolate and black coffee. There is a distinct soy sauce taste lurking in this. Dusty hop resins give a short bitter aftertaste. Finish is malty with a dry nutty almond note left in the mouth. An ok stout but better versions out there.

Bottled 01/02/13. A black beer with a white head and lacing. Smoky roasty malts in the nose. Sweetness in the mouth with a weird vomit note. An odd fruitiness but good roasty malts. Passable but cheap and safe.
