Belhaven Black Scottish Stout really is something completely different. Bursting with roast coffee and chocolate flavours, this is a truly genuine and premium pint. Brewed using pure Scottish water and a unique blend of Scottish triple malts sourced from the finest locally grown barley.

Medium-light coffee, light creaminess. Dry finish with lingering roasty, coffee. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Good beer. Should not be consumed too cold! 440 ml. can with widget inside. Pour is a clear, deep brown-black with an enduring wafer of nitro cream on top. Muted but pleasant aroma is dark caramel with a touch of coffee. Taste is the same with small touches of earthiness and green herb, then just enough roast in the aftertaste to bring a bit of balance. Near-medium body is of course velvety nitro smoothness. This one is definitely to the sweet side with lots of big Scottish malt flavors, but it’s almost watery enough to keep from getting sticky.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. This was a favourite of mine for a bit, but going back to it...it’s a bit thin. Pours Black with single finger off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. Taste of initial smokiness, peat smoke, roasted malts, some coffee and a touch of chocolate in there. It’s just a bit thin though. Nice carbonation. Good.

Black, thick white head. Weak carbonation. Suffice it watery. Some coffee, but not bulges out. Overall nice drink

Pours a pitch black.color with a off white fluffy head. The aroma is rosty and chocolate. The flavor is roasty and chocolate with taffy. The palate is more thicker than I would think for a nitro.

Aromat jest całkiem przyjemny. Palone słody, zapach kawy z odrobiną śmietanki. W smaku trochę puste, ale dobrze zbalansowane. Smak palonych słodów, kawy, mleka, delikatna goryczka. Piana świetna, kremowa.

Nitro-can. Pours a black color with a tan head that lasts. Aroma of roasted malt, touch of coffee and dark fruit. Taste of roasted malt, coffee, bit of dark chocolate and smoke. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and creamy. Nice beer for the style. Nothing wrongwith an old world stout once in a while.
