14.9 oz can. Pours a deep amber color that is almost black. Decent head with grainy aromas. Beer has smooth finish with lots of malt backbone. Soft carbonation with a light presence on the palate.

First smell after popping the cap is roasted coffee but after pouring it into a glass that somewhat fades. The beer is very dark as expected and the foam is thick when pouring but fades away rather quickly. The taste is kinda smoky with hints of coffee and nuts. Itís not bitter as i expected and leaves a pretty mellow aftertaste.

Pitch black colored, creamy beige-tan head, good lasting. Aroma is of chocolate, some roasted malt, coffee. Taste is light+ sweet malt, chocolate and coffee, some roasted malt, light+ bitterness, dry finish. Light+ bodied, soft carbonation, thinnish. Light and drinkable yet there is enough flavor for enjoyment. I can see myself quaffing a few of these. (can)

0.5l bottle from British Store. Black colour as you expect from a beer with such a name. Head is moderate, looks foamy, aroma is moderately roasted, taste is sweet-roasted. The beer itself is a light stout, palate is a bit too lively for me, but otherwise nice. A bit thin, though. Taste is moderately roasted, a bit on the sweet side. Some nice sourish character detectable in the end. Roasted-bitter aftertaste with a not very nice earthy character in the background. Has a somewhat coke-like taste and character which I usually do not like. Also, quite one-sided. A typical one-timer.

0.5 l can at Opatovina Beer Fest in Zagreb. Nicely poured, black with a firm off white head. Nuts, coffe and roasted malts in the aroma. Creamy texture, really smooth mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Sweet and roasty. Light roasty finish. Quite nice.

Bottled. Pours a pitch black colour, topped with a medium sized beige head. Not much retention to speak of. Chalky nose initially, minimal roasty presence and thatís it. Taste is sweet, mildly roasty with very pleasant chocolate, easy to pick up. Light body, sparkly texture. Some coffee in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle, 0.50l. Pitch black color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of grass, cereals, dust, mild roasted malt and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt and chocolate, following is a bit smoky and leathery with mild fruity and grassy acidity, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Light body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Black is tasty, but this one just averagely...

440 ml nitro can. Pours black with 2 fingers of creamy off white foam. The smell is big on the roasted malt with hints of chocolate, overall has a nice bitter aspect to it. Roasted malt and semi sweet chocolate taste. Also has a "milky" flavour. Smooth and pretty tasty.

Never poured this shiz into a glass, so no idea how it looks like. I love to chug these on depressed days when Iím fing tired of too much CO2. Better than san miguel.

Pours black colour with small and short lasting, off-white head. Smell is a bit weak, malty and subtly smoked. Light body with watery texture. Pretty high carbonation for this style. Taste is mostly bitter with some off-placed sour notes. Aroma is very weak, yeast, roasted malts, smoke, traces of coffee. Very mediocre, and the choice to bottle this into transparent bottles is also quite questionable. Overall, as a stout, this one is a failure. Very weak, thin and watery. It would pass as an ok dark lager, tho. Barely.
