Cask at Plough Langford Beds. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin white head, malty and fruit aroma, taste is bitter and friuty and then has a nice malty finish.

Cask at Tavern, 21st March 14. Pretty citrusy, easy drinking ale, ok for a light ale

Mid-amber with a slight but noticeable English hop nose. Is actually quite bitter from mid-mouth onwards and the finish surprisingly long. Completely different palate to the soggy stodginess which typifies the products of Greene King’s HQ brewery. I could get used to it...

Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 13/03/13. An orangey gold coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Reasonable malty notes in the nose. Insipid in the mouth. Lightly fruity but poorly palateable. Really not very tasty.

[cask at the King’s Head, Enfield] Clear golden ale with a decent white head. Aroma is hay-like, bready and slightly sweet. Some caramel on the flavour, as the beer starts quite sweet. After a while, faint citrus edges tingle inwards. Finish is long and, again, slightly sweet [08032013]

Cask. Light gold with a decent white head. Fruits in smell - peach, pear drops and tangerine. A little "weak" and dishwatery in mouth but still some decent fruitiness. Tangerine dominates with a little lemon and malt-dry finish. Nose better than taste.

Cask. Amber beer with great big white head. I didn't think this beer would be up to much but it's quite nice you know. Mild hoppiness, nice bitter taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 18, 2013 Served from cask dispense into a plastic oversized UK pint glass at the ’Quinns Head’ pub inside the Twickenham Stoop Rugby stadium during half time of the Harlequins vs London Irish (Feb ’12) Taking off my ’not a big fan of GK family’ blinkers I reviewed this beer and made my notes from the quiet moments of the 2nd half! Pours a clear golden colour with a large pure white frothy head. Malts and a light caramel come over in the nose but in general not a particularly aromatic beer! Was expecting the ’blandometer’ to be rather high after smelling but I was wrong, this beer does have a decent little hoppy punch to it! Citrus hops come across well, along with toffee/caramel in the background and nice zingy aftertaste with a little lemon. Thinnish body, slightly watery but overall I thought this beer stood up fairly well!
