0,5l bottle from Brittish Store, Budapest. Shared and co-rated with "kovika91". Clear, light amber color with medium, off-white head. Sweet, grainy caramel aroma with peanuts, some spicy bitterness and a little smoke. Light bitter-sweet taste. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation. Long peanut and roastedmalt finish. Delious, light, English-style ale. Interesting nutty aroma. Nice one.

Clear glass bottle. A beautiful gradient red-amber body with a soapy beige head. Nose holding some caramel and toffee, a little gritty and a little nutty. Smooth, lightly crisp attack smooths out some more, reveals a beautiful, absolutely beautiful yeasty-bready flowering. Light bitterness, relatively dry, hops and a little hard water, some mild tobacco and ash. A nice woody character. Faint fruit is a little oblique. Iím probably more fascinated by this than most, but today itís layered and deep.

larsga (6120) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 12, 2012
Medium offwhite head. Clear brown body. Deep caramelly nutty aroma with roasty herbal resiny notes. Dry-sweetish caramelly earthy taste with roasty grainy notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish, and faintly acidic, earthy caramelly aftertaste wth perfumy nutty vanilla notes. Nice, and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle from a supermarket in Moscow, Russia.)

Bottle. Deep coppery body, small off-white head. Nose is caramel, pale malts and hints of nuts. Taste is lightly roasty malts, grains and hints of caramel and astringent herbs. Watery palate. A bit of a letdown; the label spurred me to believe that this was a Scotch Ale. It clearly wasnít.
