3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear dark red amber with fluffy tanned head. Roasted malts, fidges, toffey and dry hay aroma. Sweet caramel and malty flavor with notes of crispy floral and fruity. Sweet and crispy acidy on palate. Finishes with pear sweet to begin with turning into bitter hoppy. Very nice.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottled, sampled 2010-03-12) Deep, dark copper with a smallish, firm and lacy head. Very mild aroma of woody hops and faint caramely malt. Flavor is mild as well, with some caramely malt, and a touch of herby hops - but only after warmed up a bit. Quite light body, almost watery palate, lots of CO2. Not exactly bad, but feels very bland and watered down. One of the worst from this fine brewery so far.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I had a couple 500 ml bottles of this on a 12 hour steam train excursion north through the Scottish Highlands from Perth to Broomhill and back. This poured a deep copper color with a very, big and long lasting off-white head. The nose is mostly malt but there is a little ripe fruit and floral hops as well. The body is medium and the mouthfeel smooth and slick. The flavor is dominated by caramel malts with some hop bitterness showing that continues into the finish Very easy drinking brew;

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle (Mallaskukko, Turku)
SImple malty aroma, rich graininess, soft and malty, some caramalt.
Very drinkable, even quaaffable. Palate quite full, and surprisingly
drinkable for a Greed Kerching beer.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tasted 2010-05-22. Bottle. Pours clear, amber with off-white head. Slightly hoppy scent. Too sweet and one-dimensional for my liking.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Stunned by how much this smells like GK really; almond, dough, straw, Battenberg, hint of dog. There’s some hop there like pencil shavings. Jelly red with a diminishing, lacing cream head. Slips by pretty much unnoticed- caramel and watery almond; unobtrusive oak, egg custard aftertaste. Oat creaminess, diluted, trickling off slate. Quite tasty once it hits room temp, but ultimately a beer that’s brewed to be pleasant, unexceptional and easy to drink, and it is.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle, as Belhaven Robert Burns Scottish Ale, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Copper coloured beer, big and lasting off-white head. Predominantly malty aroma, but also some fruity hops and vinous notes, hints of berries, oak and honey. The flavour has notes of the same elements, but the hops are very moderate, and do not leave much bitterness for the aftertaste. Still a decent and very drinkable beer.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, CM-Vantaa. Pours mahogany color with a small white head. Aroma is sweetish malt and candy. Flavor is malt and sweet fruity. Finish is bitter, bit harsh. Very easy to drink, I so like Belhaven ales, and this one is no disappointment.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled (Kamppi, BB 06/2011)
Clear mahogany color, good creamy beige head. Toffeish nutty weak aroma. Crisp carbonation. Quite unbalanced flavor of toffee, harsh maltyness and nutty hops. Plasticky aftertaste with light hops and sugar. Pretty average anniversary beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 500ml (K-Market Kamppi). Light brown-reddish (mahogany) color with thin white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma of toffee, dark hops and sweetish malt. Taste is malty, fruity, lightly metallic and sweet. Somewhat bitter-sweet dry aftertaste, but still easily drinkable. Another Belhaven I like, but not my favorite of their beers.
