A really special and unique beer. A little roasted and smoked. Still not heavy or dark. The great advantage of this brew is that it is still fruity, light and refreshing, but still smoked and roasted. Looks like whiskey, but tastes like a blend between the "Blandford Fly" and "Slenkerla Rauchbier". Thoose different styles are blended together with perfection. This is a fusion beer.

An amber beer with great head. The aroma is very complex with hints of fruit, malt and banana. The flavor is fruity and prickling with spices. It’s a great flavor yet a little special

Brought from Scotland, 500ml,typical brown Belhaven bottle.Painting of the poet on the label. Quite a nice looking ale poured into the imperial pint mug.It isdark amber with a luscious bubbly/frothy light tan head.Great lacing down the glass as I drink. Aroma is of malts, quite nutty. Nice tasting ale,its quite "clean" compared to most Scottish ales, meaning the malts arent quite so upfront sweet this seems a more balanced Scottish ale..the malts being somewhat driven back by some hops. Long lasting tobacco like after taste ( nice pipe tobacco). This is quite highlycarbonated compared to your typical Scot ale..thoughit works rather well on the palate. I found this to be an excellent drinking beer, not overlly complex but supremely enjoyable.

(Bottle) Pours dark/golden amber, with tall pretty stable head. Sweet vinous malty taste, with notes of smoke and whisky. A fairly good beer imo..

(Draught at Gaestgivaregaarden, Helsingør, Denmark) Clear brown color, thick creamy tan head. Fruity and wet pipe tobacco scent. Very fruity and sweet, also tobacco, taste. Smooth velvet like mouthfeel. Low bitterness.
