Dacrza (136), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA May 2, 2008 Solid orange body with solid half-inch head that smooths somewhat evenly in a Samuel Smith pint glass... malts and hops act in accordance; smooth and pleasant;... medium-bodied and effervescent; mellow and drinkable (by the lees!)...bitter hops at the teeth early.... biting with a hint of nuttiness and a slight smokiness... heavy... a solid, strong representation of what I’d expect from a Scottish bitter served in a pub... has a friendly feel throughout.
Archibaldo de la Cruz (18), Finland Jul 18, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a thin creamy head. Light malty aroma. Quite smooth, nutty, malty and also a bit bitter. Light body and mouthfeel. A bit too light for me, but it was a decent beer. daknole (531), Plantation, Florida, USA Jun 26, 2008 Hmmmpf, nothing to write home about here. But I will write a bit here I guess. An amber color and light brown head give way to malty aromas and malty on the palate. Average, but drinkable. gam (471), brisbane, Australia Jun 22, 2008 Good head recedes to mild cover on dark pour of amber almost red/brown carbonation not strong.Aroma nutty, caramel.Flavour caramel woody taste, honey note, malt taste, mild fruit flavour.Finish nutty sweet session ale.
