bottle. aroma is kind of small for as strong as the beer tastes. smells nutty and malty with a hint of fruit. color is kind of odd. it’s a gold/orange with a small off white head. ok carbonation and fair lacing. very malty taste and very creamy. hint of roasted nuts and a hint of orange. love the palate on this. goes in fruity and nutty and finishes with a creamy malt flavor. would give this a 4 or more if the aroma was stronger but the prize is in the taste on this one!

Nov 30, 2008 Amber colour, white head. Nose of caramel malts. Flavour has caramel malts and brown sugar. Nice sweet-bitterness to end with. This is a decent bitter.

Aroma - Full caramel malt aroma with a hint of nuts and tea
Appearance - CopperAmber in color with a quickly diminishing 1 finger off-white head.
Flavor - Sweet,caramel malt, roasted malt and a mild nutty flavor. Light on the hops.
Palate - Medium mouthfeel. A bit slick,light on the carbonation.
Overall - This is very similar to an Irish ale but with emphasis on malt instead of hops. Very drinkable. Would love to find an establishment that has this on tap

Nov 27, 2008 Nitro @ Green Dragon... Poured copper-red with a thick, white head. Aroma had sweet, leafy malt and was very candy-like, maybe some apricot notes in there too. Silky and creamy palate and was served chillingly cold. Flavors of leafy hops with malt and floral fruit notes. Finished with subtle hops and cracker-like or cereal grains.

Nov 20, 2008 Draught at the Flying Saucer. Deep copper color, thick head, creamy feel, buttery flavor hint of spice. Finishes clear and smooth. Could drink several of these and still want more.

Nov 2, 2008 Draught can. Pours a deep amber with a thick and tall nitro head. Aromas of apple juice concentrate, caramel, cream/vanilla and a touch of floral hops. Flavor is a nice mix of the above with an almost peat like bitterness to it that then gives way back to the floral/fruity sweetness. Finishes with a creamy sweetness.
