22nd June 2008. My bottle clearly labelled as Belhaven 80/. All sorts of falvours claimed on the bottle but really just a watery malt beer with a modest hop background. A few subtle fruity notes but nothing like what is claimed!

Bottle: Pours a copper color with a thick off-white head. The nose is malty and clean with a nice rich nutty caramel note and some earthy hops in the background. The flavor is clean and malty, lots of mellow melanoidins bouncing about with a pleasing light orange note in the tail to balance it out. Very nice drinking bitter with a more caramelized body and thick mouthfeel than I was expecting. Decent!

On tap at Battleship Brewhouse. Nice deep dark brown/amber color with a thick tan head. Aroma has very mind malts, perhaps a little dried fruit. Taste is of malts, wheat, caramel, and slight citrus. Has a sweeter aftertaste. Good stuff!

Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Not much aroma, some sweet malt. Flavor is somewhat malty with some fruit, caramel and a little hops. Smooth, refreashing and easy to drink. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours an orange-brown color with a decent sized off-white head. Aromas of autumn spices and malts. Roasted, nutty flavor. Finishes pretty smoothly. Medium bodied. A tinge of bitterness.

Tried a sample at Brewfest Tallahassee, from a bottle. Sweet with a touch of roast and a hint of smoke or something hidden in there. Nice stuff.
