Thick foamy head courtesy of the nitro and some sediment, not sure if this is normal or not. Caramel and some toffee in the mouth, a very pleasant beer to drink. Taste is malty, some hops but buttery and watery also. Moderate sweet finish. ok. MarkBarnes (266), Waterville, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2008 March 12, 2008; 440ml nitrous can. Pours like a cover for a draught beer magazine -- lovely dark amber with a thick, dreamy, billowy cloud-like head. Vaguely dairy-product aroma, with a slightly-subdued, but quite pleasant, butterscotch-malt, milky flavor. Nothing to stun the palate, but a wonderful session ale, shamefully underrated here (probably because of its remarkably-low 3.9% ABV). Highly recommended for anyone wishing to avoid an immediate "buzz", or coming down from one. ;-) armando629 (965), Budapest, Hungary

Fruity and roasted aroma. Good carbonation in the flavour with a fine caramell/roasted taste. Complex body, good roasted aftertaste. I enthuse over this brewery and the exciting brittish/scottish ales:) You can buy it in the Caledoni pub too.(Budapest, Hungary) EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Nitro-canned (first time I’ve seen them in cans). Super-creamy head, gorgeous and rocky, off-white. Deep, dark golden body. Faint aroma has a swirl of fruity malt but not much. Taste is likewise faint but stronger than the Boddington’s I just had, smooth and darkly malty with just a touch of fruit, but no real bitterness. Good amount of caramel with a deft rounding of toffee. Smooth light body approached medium, extremely quaffable. One of the better bitters I’ve had (which really isn’t saying much), and a dream at under 4%. Swalden28 (1446), McKinney, Texas, USA
