A clear attractive red color witha foamy beige head. Sweet malty scent with some earthy, vinous notes. Bready with some light sweetness and an earthy mineral quality, not overpowering or over the top in any way shape or form, just a nice session beer. Nice dry aftertaste. If it isn’t Scottish, it’s crrrrrap!

Decent aroma but a smooth yet slighly bitter taste, just not that flavorable. I honestly expect more but I would certainly drink it again.

16.9 oz. glass bottle- color of medium brown, with a thick long lasting eggshell colored head - nose of scotch barrel, iodine, malt, and cola – taste of earthy, woody, malts, slightly sour, and nutty notes - body is smooth, and with decent carbonation – aftertaste of roasted malts, some woodyness, and lingering

had it on tap.One of the best looking beers I have ever seen. Had the most long lasting beautiful head. Incredibly smooth taste almost creamy.

Clear red with a medium head. Fresh beery aroma. Crisp, smooth. Has a fresh quich hit that is not in many beers. Good body. Different. No aftertaste. Taste is interesting but then goes away, makes you want more.

Jan. 2006 - Poured a rustic color with a decent head. Aroma was smoky. Taste was smokey...really smokey...much akin to sucking on a charcoal briquette. Won’t go back.

Real great one. Pours a smooth medium golden with a forever lasting white milky head. This beer is as smooth as cream with the nitrogen. Tastes of butter, caramel, grain. Goes down real smooth. Would buy again.

tap: sweetish, toasty with some weak biscuity notes, buttery, bready, fruity, some weak roasted notes, some mild bitterness, nice session ale but nothing special.
