Pours Deep, clean, amber color with an excellent cream colored head which lasts the entire drink. Lacing is evident with every movement of the glass. The aroma is a heavy malt, with a hint of nutiness. The flavor hits the mouth with that same heavy malt flavor, which tends to overpower the nuttiness. The feeling is very smooth and light, and not lingering. A decent ale. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but I would definately drink it again. MTP (13), Waco, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2007 Pours a clear amber with an off white head that leaves a ton of lacing on the sides. Smells doughy with sweetness, maybe a little honey. Tastes similar, some toffee and nuts. Not overly exciting but this is definitely one you could pound all night, very light bodied but enough flavor to keep you from getting too bored. pretty good for low ABV and being so light bodied. dmac (1442), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Pours a crystal clear reddish/burnt orange with a frothy off white head. Body is rather flat looking despite the fantastic head. Not so great aroma of a ctirus/dough/nutt mix with some odd sweetness swirling around it all. Flavor is suprisingly better then the aroma with light nuttiness and a bready taste as well. Palate is lilght bodied with a slight bitter finish. Sessionable beer. thewolf (5722), Kolding, Denmark

Pours a pretty brownish amber with a small white film head. Aroma is malty caramel. Flavour is weak caramel, rye bread and a weak peppery bitterness. A little thin and boring. ChrisThomson (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours an amber colour with white, well-retaining head. Has nice big malty taste, some caramel sweetness notes with light body. Easy drinking pint. tomthompson89 (1471), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Updated: May 9, 2008From the bottle, this is a dark copper with a thick, dense, long-lasting light tan head, very good, long-lasting lacing. It smells of toasty, yeasty bread with a fruity sweetness, caramel, pine and earth. It tastes moderately fuill-bodied, sweetish with a light, juicy and piney bitterness. It has a toasted malty flavour and body, caramel, bread, juice, prunes. There is a very evident, but well-balanced and not overpowering crisp, hoppy bitterness up front that fades nicely into a malty finish. It’s wonderful, being incredibly drinkable and smooth yet very full of flavour.
