The head is way to creamy almost to the point of being gross. Copper body and a bitter taste. Not bad goes down easy. mccracke (6), USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2007 A very light, malty aroma. Thick taste with a very slight smokey flavor. Beautiful dark amber appearance. The head does dissipate extremely quickly. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Dark brown with a huge head, that is quickly disappearing. The aroma is slightly malty. The flavour is a bit sour, malty with notes of fruit, citrus and smoke. The finish is dry. A boring beer, but easy to drink. ChainGangGuy (2544), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Appearance: Pours a brownish-amber body with an off-white head that is thin and short-lived.
Smell: Flimsy, weak aroma of watered down caramel and, to my surprise, green apples.
Taste: Light, biscuity malt flavor along with some vague wooden notes and hints of sour green apples. Some faint hops spring up late into the already short finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body with a carbonated mouthfeel that reminds me of a soda.
Drinkability: Disappointing and fairly unremarkable. cking (1019), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 21, 2007 Rated 6/22/06: Draught Can, 5.2% abv, this is a spectacular ale. Creamy pour that ends up a medium copper/amber with an enormously thick fluffy head and some signs of sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet with a nice bread-like quality. Semi-thick mouthfeel that finishes full and smooth. Flavor is great, nice and malty agian with a nice bread tone. Slightly bitter but hardly noticeable. This is a great example for a Scottish "Pub" Ale. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2007 Poured into an English Pint. The color was a nice coppery clear color with an inch head and excellent lacing. The scent was malt and yeast. Some carmel notes domintated the taste with a very bitter ending. A very enjoyable beer. skibumphishead (180), USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 9/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | May 18, 2007 draft into a plastic cup from the harp... I was expecting a pint glass, but oh well. The nitro tap and cold temp of this beer hid most of the flavors. It was redish and tasted a little bit like a bluebird bitter. I shouldn’t have tried this beer for $5.50, but they didn’t have a single IPA out of their dozen drafts. Don’t eat the food at the harp either... nasty shit comes out of that kitchen. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 16, 2007 Dark copper poured from a 500ml bottle, very nice clarity. Wide range of aromas. A doughy maltiness dominates with hints of peat, banana, and bitter hops. Medium in body and slightly bitter in the mouth with a mostly dry finish.
