Light malty aroma, with a nice creamy lactic sweetness. Flavor is as expected from the aroma. Palate is medium, creamy, and a bit sweet. Carl99Fan (186), Suwanee, Georgia, USA Apr 4, 2007 Ice tea color, orange hue.. Minimal off-white head when poured into a chalice glass. Medium carbonation and medium bitterness. Drinkable but lacks the flavor I am seeking in a beer. First bitter for me, so unable to compare to similar styles. I hope my next bitter is better. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 4, 2007 i expected more from this one, flavor wasnt quite up to par for something advertised as a scottish ale, carbonation ruined most of taste, little bit of malt present but doesnt do enough to save this one. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Apr 2, 2007 Pours with a big but ugly head. Taste is far far too carbonated. Malt dominated biscuity and some grassy hops thin body not a good beer at all. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Mar 31, 2007 Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Nice cupperred-rown colour. Light hoppy slightly metallic aroma. Nice moderate bitter slightly smoked flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Dynamind69 (29), San Miguel, California, USA Mar 22, 2007 Pours amber cloudy,Nose of fruit and alcohol.Taste was sour apple with a medium bitter hops presence.A nice palate and aftertaste.A very drinkable ale.I would buy this brew again. jefcon (997), Arlington, Virginia, USA Mar 17, 2007 LIght caramel in color with a serious off-white head and some good lacing. Aromas of wheat, smoke, and some chalky malts. Sweet at various points on tasting, with a chocolaty finish with some good length on it. Some hop presence, but not much. Dusky, green hops. A little wanting in terms of balance.
